You can take SAJ syrup when you have stomach pain. 

Yes. SAJ syrup is completely safe in children above 1 year of age.

For 1 to 3 years= 2.5 ml twice a day

For 3 to 12 years= 5 ml twice a day

Above 12 years= 10 ml twice a day

Common foods that trigger the acidity includes- citrus fruits (except Indian gooseberry and Pomegranate), Tea, Coffee and other caffeinated drinks, All the carbonated drinks, Spicy food, Sour food, Salty food, Fermented food, Salad, Alcohol, All the bakery items, Frequent consumptions of non veg (especially fish).

Baking soda only provides temporary relief. It does not provide permanent solution and taking it for longer duration can have adverse effects.

Night awakening and sleeping during daytime after taking food, both leads to acidity and indigestion.

Drinking excess water makes digestive juices dilute. It further leads to indigestion, nausea, vomiting.
